The Walters Art Museum partners with Everyman Theatre for an afternoon of Jane Austen in conjunction with Everyman’s production of Emma, adapted by Kate Hamill (May 17–June 14). Everyman Resident Company Members will recite a collection of Austen’s work in the Walters’ 18th-century Renaissance and Baroque galleries. Visitors will roam the galleries as different characters perform against the backdrop of the 18th-century painting and sculpture. Visitors who attend this intimate theatrical experience will receive an exclusive discount to see Emma at Everyman during its run.
Want to make a day of it? Attendees are welcome to join Everyman Theatre for a pre-event luncheon and costume design presentation at the historic Mount Vernon Club before the main event. Presentation at 11:00 a.m.; lunch served from noon to 1:30 p.m. for a set price of $40, inclusive of taxes and gratuity.
