Sunday April 19

Other dates...

2:00 PM  –  2:30 PM

Location: Meet at the Upper Charles Street Entrance

The Walters has a small, but significant, collection of works by Impressionist painters, including visitor favorite “Springtime” by Claude Monet. The recent installation of 19th-century art in Hackerman House at 1 West Mount Vernon Place is an opportunity to look again at some of these popular works. Join Jo Briggs, Jennie Walters Delano Curator, 18th- & 19th-Century Art, to learn about new research undertaken for From Gérôme to Monet: Stories from the 19th-Century Collection, and future plans for a larger reinstallation of 19th-century painting.
