Contemporary jewelry artist Douriean Fletcher uses the power of adornment to tell stories and express Black identity through her work in film and television, including Marvel Studio’s Black Panther films, Coming 2 America (2021), and Roots (2016). Curator Christine Sciacca will present the highlights of the exhibition through Fletcher’s formative years, her work in film and television, and recent examples of her independent jewelry practice.
