Join Adriana Proser, Mr. & Mrs. Thomas Quincy Scott Curator of Asian Art and Curatorial Chair, for a tour of 17th and 18th century Indian paintings that illustrate musical melodies known as ragas. Learn about these extraordinary, richly colored works from the Walters’ John and Berthe Ford Collection that evoke specific emotions and their corresponding musical forms. Often featuring the passions of lovers, the paintings largely focus on male and female subjects.
